Andrew is a board certified and state licensed Athletic Trainer, graduating from the University of Utah. His clinical education allowed him to experience treating athletes in a variety of athletic programs around the Salt Lake Valley.
Before starting at YIN, Andrew accumulated three years of experience treating athletes at local high schools such as Herriman High School and Highland High School. Andrew was apart of the University of Utah Athletic Training staff as an undergrad for the 2014-2015 season while also interning for the Utah Jazz during the same year. After graduating, Andrew was hired by Salt Lake Regional Hospital and stationed at the SportsMed Utah clinic at Jordan Commons where he managed the sports medicine program at American Preparatory Academy in Draper. From there Andrew moved on to Intern with the Athletic Training staff for local MLS club Real Salt Lake during the 2018 season. Each experience has taught him positive skills to help treat athletes with any ailing injury

I have been a Massage Therapist for three plus years. I enjoy massage therapy because I love being able to help people understand their body better and to see the progression with each session. I love to perform Deep Tissue, but am capable of many other modalities. I love learning and really thrive with feedback. I want to be the best I can be and adjust the massage so it is the best for you. Outside of massage, I am a former collegiate soccer player, I played at Weber State for 4 years, I currently compete in Olympic Lifting. When I am not working or lifting, I am spending time with my dog Leche or traveling to a foreign country!

I graduated from Utah College of Massage Therapy in 2013. From a young age, I’ve always been outside playing and staying active. The main sport I played was soccer. I played since I was four and have always been fascinated to discover that when I properly prepared my body physically before a game, how much better I was able to perform. I brought that fascination with me during my attendance to massage school and my career as a massage therapist. I believe that through self-guidance, joined with a skilled massage therapist, you can alleviate many pains and discomforts.

I grew up in a home that watched and played sports so naturally, I took to that as a young child. I played baseball and soccer while in elementary, then when I joined my first club team for soccer it took over my life. I played soccer in high school and for my senior year, the varsity coach told me he wanted me to put on fifteen pounds of muscle before the season. that is where my fitness journey had started. Once I started working out to gain weight for soccer is when I got the itch and the love for lifting weights, health, and fitness. I am a certified personal trainer through ISSA and have my CPR card. I want to share my passion with others while helping them reach there life fitness and health goals!

Yoga found her many years ago and since then they have had a healthy and intimate relationship. Yoga filled a void physically, emotionally, and spiritually to the point where she couldn’t wait to roll out my mat or read and study more about it. Dana had to know what was it that was changing her from the “inside, out.” Her relationship with the body, herself and others, not to mention the world, in general, has improved and continues to improve. What’s great is Yoga also slows the aging process as “You are only as young as your spine is flexible.” Dana believes our Yoga families are relatives, not by blood but by breath, in a constant state of co-creating. Hopefully, we may forge our paths by practicing together. The reward is discovering yourself and how your practice mirrors your life off the mat. Our bodies talk, but we don’t always listen and respond. Allow Yoga to change your mind/body consciousness and awareness. Every time she rolls out her mat, she lays her vulnerabilities, fear, and doubts down. When its time to roll up that mat, her tears, sweat, confidence, aspirations, and accomplishments are carried close to her heart and soul. How great is it to have a love affair with yourself and Yoga!

Brandy’s athletic upbringing and natural spirit of curiosity created a fascination with how movement affects the body. This fascination led to her initial pursuits of yoga in 2002, although she realized she’d been practicing the postures “unofficially” for some time prior as part of her nighttime stretching routine. Brandy’s love of yoga led her to become a teacher in 2010, and she has loved guiding yoga ever since. Over the years, her practice has developed into a style founded in anatomy and alignment, allowing her students (and herself) to safely explore asana. Brandy has a unique understanding of how yoga affects the body through many ailments, both temporary (sprains and strains) and chronic (she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis as a child). In her free time, Brandy enjoys (besides yoga) exploring, photography, and obscure 80’s movie references.

Michael is a certified RYT 200-HR yoga teacher through Salt Lake Community College and Yoga Alliance as well as a CMT 200-HR meditation instructor through The Dharana Method, an Approved Training Provider of the International Institute of Complementary Therapists. Coming from a strong family and educational background, he came to yoga and meditation through hardship, deep-rooted anxiety, and career stress that was threatening to bring him to a mental breaking point. Upon going to his first class, he was immediately hooked and has since found a passion in using yoga, meditation, and general mindfulness to help bring others to a better way of living. Michael continues to add to his repertoire of knowledge every day through a wisdom-based lifestyle involving the Four Paths of Yoga, MBSR, energetic healing, Buddhist philosophies, and general psychology. His personal teaching approach reflects this incorporating a wide variety of styles and practices (ancient and modern) that allow every part of the individual self to regenerate and find acceptance and peace in all aspects of life. He is a firm believer that a mindful lifestyle can and should be accessible to everyone and that anyone can practice it. In his free time (whenever he finds it), Michael is also an avid blogger, bibliophile, web developer, and high-end film snob with a love for new and unique cinema.
